A long and healthy life would be something that everyone hopes for.  Meet Annamah Abukutty, who officially turned 110 on March 31st, was given the recognition by Malaysia Book of Records (MBR) chief operating officer Christopher Wong, recognising her as the oldest woman in Malaysia.

She has officially retained her title as Malaysia’s oldest living woman .

The impressive 110-year-old joined RAAGA’s favourite breakfast duo Ahila and Suresh for a special Interview in 2020. During the interview, she had expressed her humorous side by making fun and cracking jokes alongside the announcers.

annamah abukutty, malaysia’s oldest living woman is now 110!

She and her husband moved to Malaysia as tree-cutter jobs during the British occupation. Annamah is biologically 110 because her birth was only registered a year later in 1911. Annamah has five children, two of whom remained in India. She now has two surviving children, 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, some of whom are in India.

Annamah told us some interesting facts about herself, she is well versed in herbal medicine and also claims her secret to her long and healthy life is the positive effects of the herbs that she uses. She also helps others with her herbal remedies and considers it a service to society and doesn’t charge for her services.

She has lived a happy life and doesn’t carry any regrets. She wishes well for her family.  We at RAAGA are deeply honoured and salute this iron lady. Join us in wishing her plenty more happy times ahead!
