FIFA has revealed the final three nominees for the Best FIFA Men’s Player of the Year Award.

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah is on the shortlist alongside PSG’s Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich, who won the title in 2020.

The winner will be announced at the awards later this month.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has been nominated for the Best FIFA Men’s Coach Award for 2021.

Tuchel is among the three-man shortlist, joined by Italy boss Roberto Mancini  and Man City’s Pep Guardiola.

The winner’s ceremony will take place in Zurich later this month.

Novak Djokovic has broken his silence to thank fans for their support after Australian officials denied claims he was being detained and that he could leave the country at any time.

The tennis player is under isolation in Melbourne, pending an appeal against the country’s decision to cancel his entry visa and deport him.

This, after Djokovic failed to meet the requirements for an exemption to COVID-19 vaccination rules.
