When They Saw That an Elderly Man Couldn't Visit His Late Wife's Bench, 2 Park Employees Did This For Him.

They couldn't let the sad man go on like this.

Bud Caldwell lost his wife Betty a while ago. He bought a park bench and dedicated it to her after her passing, and would visit the bench every day to remember her.

He brings some daisies and a penny every time he visits the bench. These are in memory of the couple's favourite love songs -- Daisy a Day and Pennies From Heaven. They've been married for 56 years and Bud just wants Betty to know that he'll always be there for her no matter what.

Unfortunately, the snow during the winter of 2015 made it difficult for him to visit her bench. This didn't go unnoticed, as two park employees picked up their shovels and started clearing the path for him daily. Bud was surprised when he saw the path cleared towards Betty's bench.

The park employees said that "they just can't have this" because they felt that Bud should be able to spend time with his wife whenever he wants. They were moved by his love and wanted to do something nice for him.

Bud was really moved by their gesture and thanked them for it.
