The teaser for Adai Mazhai Kaalam (AMK)  is out and we at Raaga cannot contain our excitement! Set to hit the silver screens in November, this will be the third theatrical collaboration between dynamic duo, Karthik Shamalan and Shameshan Mani Maran after Sughamaai SubbuLakshmi (SSL) and En Veetu Thotathil (EVT).

Helmed by our homegrown beloved, Karthik Shamalan, AMK is anticipated to be yet another success he would be adding to his wall of fame, following SSL, EVT and Melle Thiranthathu Kathavu (MTK).
 
A quick chat with the man himself revealed that AMK’s plot revolves around the love story between the moon and the sun that are lost lovers, longing for opportunities to meet, and the role of the rain in making this magic happen. 

Casting Loga Varmman and Thia Lakhsana in lead roles, Suriyan and Chandra, Karthik wishes to encapsulate the idea that romance may die in one’s lifetime or death, but love itself is passed on from generation to generation.

With Shameshan Mani Maran working his BGM magic into this musical, this fantasy romantic drama is surely set out to make cupid real and hearts melt. 

Shameshan has promised us a galore of live and acoustic music spun into the tracks throughout this movie in an attempt to bring back the semi-classical feel that we can tribute to legends such as A.R. Rahman. He even whispered that a legendary singer from India was involved in a song for this movie.
