BAM President Satisfied With BATC Outing

Feb 19, 2024

bam president satisfied with batc outing

BAM's president is satisfied with our shuttlers’ commitment and fighting spirit at the recent Badminton Asia Team Championship.

Tan Sri Norza Zakaria said this, despite several fitness issues within the squad.

This, as Lee Zii Jia and Ng Tze Yong had to be rested for several matches due to illness and injury.

The men's team were beaten 3-0 by China in the final.

--

Man United boss Erik Ten Hag says his team still has a lot to work on, despite their current hot streak.

This, after they beat Luton 2-1 in the Premier League, to extend their unbeaten run to 7 matches in all competitions.

Ten Hag says his team were not clinical enough in front of goal, and he feels they handed Luton too many scoring chances.

--

Philippines boxing legend Manny Pacquiao has given up on his hope of competing at the upcoming Paris Olympics, after the IOC rejected his special request to take part.

Pacquiao, who retired in 2021, is 5 years over the IOC's age limit for Olympic boxers.

--

And Formula 1 has broken its silence over the misconduct allegations against Red Bull F1 team boss Christian Horner, saying it wants the issue to be resolved quickly.

The team is currently conducting an internal investigation, after a female staff member lodged a complaint against him.
