We may be seeing a light at the end of a tunnel as Thai doctors from Rajavithi Hospital in Bangkok have had some breakthrough with treating severe cases of the coronavirus with a cocktail of flu and HIV drugs.

The doctors claim that the treatment has improved the health of several patients, and many are showing signs of improvement after 48 hours being administered the treatment. Chinese health officials have also been administering the treatment, the Thai doctors stated that the use of the combination of drugs seems to give better results and improve the treatment.

Out of the 19 cases recorded in Thailand, 8 of them have recovered and 11 are still undergoing the treatment. However, Somsak Akkslim, director-general of the Medical Services Department says that approach will only be used for severe cases first before it is used as a standard treatment.

Thankfully the treatments are readily available for those with severe conditions of the virus and hopefully the current threat of global emergency on the virus can be eliminated.
