…empowering and smashing all stereotypes against Indian women.

This year's International Women's Day, we want you to celebrate with these amazing and empowering songs!

Here’s a song that gives back to all the ladies! Thappa Pesanthe by Punitha Raja featuring Santesh and Nantha Raja was released in 2016, smashing all stereotypes towards Indian women and to celebrate their womanhood.

Kash Villainz's Rockstar is probably one of our favourite! This song is indeed what’s needed for this day and age. The lyrics, written by Maney Villainz and Kash, question why people are bent on telling women how to act, what to do and what to wear - and even how to sit!

A single by Datin Sri Shaila V’s, with the tagline “A strong women will only change pain into strength” highlights the battle that the average woman face on a daily basis - be it in their personal life or at work.

Hey, all Indian girls! Whether they’re in sarees or a dress, with or without makeup, they’re all beautiful just the way they are! You don’t have to change for anyone, just be comfortable in your own skin. So all indian girls, this song is for you.

This tamil hip hop tune was released by the Gold Mic Award Icon of Inspiration for Rap Music winner, Yogi B, and Natchatara - Wherever he goes in the world, he will still prefer Indian girls.

You are your own person and that is amazing. Happy Women's Day! For more great music to move mind, body and soul, tune in to RAAGA!
