The pandemic left our economy in a state of flux, and fresh grads were left in limbo — uncertain of what lies ahead. Many of us graduated with high hopes of moving forward with our first job and kick-starting our career. All dreams were put on hold, giving way for the pandemic to pass.

face-to-face job interviews are making a comeback!

Defense Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has stepped forward with good news — ministries and agencies are now allowed to conduct face-to-face interviews!

“Ministries, agencies and companies in the private sector can now conduct face-to-face interviews so you don’t have to use phone calls or other means.”

However, throughout the process of conducting these interviews, maintenance of hygiene and safe social distancing must be ensured. The approval of this regulation is still taken with caution, and the public will have to wait for further SOPs to be released.

“The SOPs will be cross-checked by the National Security Council and the Ministry of Health before it is distributed to other ministries and companies,” assured the minister.
