A man with a vision knew that education was the future of a nation, and Maha Sinnathamby took that vision to great heights with his accomplishment in Australia.

The multi-billion dollar city, Greater Springfield was given the award of FIABCI Prix D’Excellence Award for the World’s Best Master Planned Community. When it was just a land of tree and hills, Sinnathamby saw the potential of planning the project that now has a value of AUD88 billion.

Greater Springfield is a city of the future, and it holds over 11 schools, a university and college with a total population of 43,000.

Sinnathamby described his poverty stricken past where he lived in a small village that did not even have proper running water and electricity. However, from young he knew that education was the “currency of the future”.  “Education is the only currency that cannot be stolen from its owner and failure of education is the collapse of a nation”, Sinnathamby told Bernama.

He is now looking to expand further alongside his business partner, Bob Sharpless and forge a collaboration with another partner or companies that can build a better future for Springfield City.

Now that his hard work has been paid off, after A$18 billion being invested into the project, Sinnathamby expects another A$70 billion in order to achieve the master plan of the entire city, and making the vision a reality.

This goes to show that no matter the background and past, if there is vision in mind then the only way to make that happen is to persevere and always put education as a top priority in life as that is the driver for finding the right opportunity.
