E-hailing now has become more rampant in our present day with more companies joining in to get market share of the action. Starting from just automobiles, Grab has now launched their six-month pilot programme called the GrabBike in Klang Valley.

First started in Indonesia and Vietnam, Grab has now brought its model for on-demand motocycle services to Malaysia in order to compete for the market share against Dego Ride, Malaysia’s first motorcycle e-hailing service. 

Grab Malaysia’s country head Sean Goh stated that safety is Grab’s main priority and all driver are required to attend safety training and practical assessment. The bikes will also be equipped with helmets for the drivers and passengers as well as reflective jackets for the drivers.

GrabBike is currently the largest bike e-hailing service in Southeast Asia. Since the launch of the app more than 300 riders, both male and female have already signed up as riders and they will be segmented separately so female clients will only get female riders.

Grab users now have the option of using their GrabBike service within Klang Valley within a 10km radius of the passenger’s location.
