We have all witnessed nature flourishing while we were stuck at home during the MCO, and one of the most notable events was the return of the dolphins and sea turtles laying eggs in the costal region of Port Dickson.

Our beaches were clean with no humans around to litter. Until now…

port dickson beaches littered with trash during rmco!

As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end.

News of Port Dickson beaches being littered made its way around just days after the re-opening of beaches.

Officials have advised the public to be more responsible and not to litter; however some individuals have proven to be irresponsible and ignorant to the matter.

Recently, the Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan Dato’ Seri Aminuddin Harun took to his Facebook account to express disappointment towards Port Dickson visitors who littered on the beach.

In his Facebook post, he thanked visitors for choosing Port Dickson as their choice of beach, however, he iwas disappointed with the actions of certain groups of people who are not responsible towards their litter.

He also shared his appreciation for the hard work done by the Port Dickson council in an effort to keep the beaches clean.

“I am confident that the tourist spots will always be clean and beautiful.” He added.

Next time you visit the beach, please remember to not litter!

Maybe have a bag with you to collect all the your waste and dispose them in designated bins or even better you could bring them back and dispose the trash  at your own trash bin at home.

Together we can keep our beaches clean!
