Baahubali and its sequel Baahubali 2 was one of India’s biggest movies of the decade, but to be a fan of the movie, one must be a fan of Katappa. He is the commander of King’s royal guards and Capital guards, a loyal servant to the throne. Just to uphold his loyalty towards the throne, he murders Amarendra Baahubali under the kings orders. Later on he serves under Mahendra Baahubali to avenge the fallen.

Why Katappa killed Baahubali has been the million-dollar question for ages.

But one thing we do know for certain is that Sathyaraj played the character remarkably. His portrayal of the character was so beyond convincing that we couldn’t image anyone else playing the role of Katappa . But did you know, Sanjay Dutt was actually the initial choice for Katappa, eventually played by Sathyaraj as the actor was caught up in a legal tangle at the time.
