The young inventors Yuvika Mahaganapathy, 10, Kailesh Saravana, 11, and Kavisha Nagarajan, 11 bags another international award by winning the Young Scientist Award 2020 at the International Invention and Trade Expo (ITE) in London.

The young inventors won gold for their invention “My Soil My Plant”, a soil conductivity electrical tester that determines which type of soil is suitable for cultivation of different breeds of plants, an invention that could revolutionize the agriculture industry.
The inventor trio had attended the International Invention and Trade Expo, London (ITE) virtually where they had present their invention to a panel of three judges via Zoom call. They managed to claim the title winning over 400 contestants from 27 countries. Due to pandemic situation, the International Invention and Trade Expo, London (ITE) was held virtually for the first time.
This award is an addition to the many awards the bright inventors have received recently.
“My Soil My Pant” invention won them gold at the International Invention Innovation Competition in Canada (iCAN) 2020 and silver at the International Festival of Engineering Science and Technology in Tunisia. They have also won a local award this year by getting first place at the Malaysia Young Scientist Conference & Exhibition last month.
