Director and lyricist Arunraja Kamaraj's wife Sindhuja has passed away due to COVID-19 complications. She was 38 at the time of her death. 

It was reported that a few days back Sindhuja tested positive and her condition worsened quickly and was admitted to the ICU ward. She failed to respond to treatments. 

Arunraja Kamaraj made his acting debut in in the 2013 'Raja Rani', his wacky jokes continued to  impressed movie lovers in films such as 'Maragadha Naanayam', 'Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma' and 'Ka Pe Ranasingham'.  

As a lyricist and singer he had his first breakthrough with Rajinikanth's "Neruppuda" song from 'Kabali' and "Varlaam Vaa" in 'Byrava'.

He is currently directing 'Article 15' Tamil remake with Udhayanidhi Stalin in the lead role. The loss of his late wife Sindhuja is truly an irreparable loss.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and loved ones. Rest in peace.
