Ashwin Kumar Lakshmikanthan aspired to become an actor and headed into the world of filmmaking eight years ago. 

He appeared in a minor role with Arya in Parthiban's experimental film 'Kadhai Thiraikadhai Vasanam' but unfortunately, his scenes were cut and it was a big struggle for him for many years as he failed to make his debut into films. 

However, his participation alongside Shivangi in 'Cooku With Comali ' Season Two changed his luck, and he gained instant stardom. 

He continued to gain popularity through the music video "Kutty Pattas', co-starring Reba Monica John, which has garnered over 90 million views.

Ashwin now has a three-film deal to play the main lead with a big production house, and recently, the title of his first film has been announced. 

Arya unveiled the poetic title 'Enna Solla Pogirai'.

'Enna Solla Pogirai' is directed by debutante Hariharan, with music by Vivek-Mervin, and cinematography helmed by Richard M Nathan. 

Another 'Cooku With Comali' star that will be joining the cast would be Pugazh, while the heroine and the rest of the cast details are yet to be announced.
