The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) shared a heartwarming image a few hours ago of a police service dog named Murat and its trainer, Lance Corporal Hardin Anak Ng Kang. Eight year-old Murat was just awarded a Medal of Honor by PDRM.

Murat was instrumental in the capture of a gang of robbers, who attempted to escape by running into the woods. The police service dog successfully tracked and led police to the robbers, who were later arrested.

It was given the Jasamu Dikenang medal by the Johor police chief. Murat's trainer was also awarded with a certificate of recognition. It's said that Murat is the first police dog to receive the medal of honor.
