Why Is Ganges The Most Sacred River?

The holy river Ganga has Radioactive in it and it prevents the growth of viruses, fungi or any form of bad bacteria. This radioactive form will not harm humans as the substance is deep inside and not within the human reach.

The ganges river water contains a form of virus called Bacteriophages which kills germs. In addition, the river bed of ganga/ganges contains calcium phosphate which plays a major role in purifying the water.
