With a Western twist.

Malaysians know that our local cuisine is one of the best in the world. No matter where we go, we still yearn for the flavours from home from time to time.

It's no surprise to us that one of our all-time favourite mamak food has caught the attention of foodies in New York. The Roti Tissue, or called Flying Bread in NYC, is being sold at Laut Restaurant in the city. The cone-shaped flatbread is served with coconut ice cream in the restaurant:

Laut's roti canai

This restaurant makes paper-thin Malaysian flat bread.

The restaurant was also awarded a Michelin star once, being the first restaurant serving Malaysian food to receive this honour.
