Adapting to change has always been a part of human lives. And we’ve seen evidence of this survival instinct come through since the start of the pandemic by embracing technology as part of the new norm.
Time to time we would see the many struggling with the ever-evolving tech world. An attorney from the United States had a tough time figuring out how to turn off the cat filter on his virtual conference account, so he went on with it for his formal court hearing.

The hilarious 43-second video had many moments that would put a smile on your face. The attorney quoted “I don't know how to remove it, I've got my assistant here and she's trying to remove it, but uh, I'm prepared to go forward with it." He even took the opportunity to reassure the judge that he is live and is not a cat.
The 42-second video has already received nearly 1 million views just within a few hours of the hearing.
Attorney Rod has had his share of mishaps in the process of adapting with the video-conferencing world, but it is applaudable that the experiences didn’t deter him from getting his job done and making sure the legal process carries on despite everything that’s going on.
“When I logged in to Zoom for the hearing, to my great surprise I was a cat,” he said.
However, he was ready to go on for the hearing looking like a cat but he got some help before it began.
Judge Roy Ferguson added that the lawyer showed incredible grace and was very professional in ensuring the justice system continues to function in these tough times. He also suggested people to ensure filters are off before appearing in court.
We at RAAGA wish the best of luck to everyone who is trying their best to cope with the ongoing pandemic. Special mention to Malaysian educators who work hard everyday to ensure effective learning in virtual classes, join us to celebrate them with our Kalakkal Kaalai duo on Vathi Raid as we took over some of their virtual classrooms recently.
