YouTuber Grant Thompson recently uploaded a video where he created an ice sculpture instantly just by pouring water onto a bowl of ice. It looked like he just performed magic, but really, it's just science.

Purified water is needed for this mini science show. This is because impurities in the water is what will cause it to freeze. Purified water won't turn into ice in the freezer because there aren't any impurities to kickstart the freezing process. This is why the purified water can instantly create ice sculptures when it comes into contact with ice cubes.
