Tim Peake the British astronaut was nice enough to take photos of the earth from the International Space Station and share it with the rest of the world, because not everyone can be an astronaut but we have technology to help us kind of experience the view from above.

Many photos will be featured in his book Hello, Is This Planet Earth? which is on sale now.

Here are a few of the mesmerising photos,

1.  London, England - You can make out London's iconic bridges over the Thames.

2. Damxung, Tibet, China - The lake shown is known as Tenger nuur, which means ‘Heavenly Lake’.

3. Calgary, Canada - Aurora Borealis shimmers over northern Canada.

4. Illizi, Algeria - This is a dune field in the Sahara Desert near the Tunisian border.
