Pramila Jayapal--The First Indian-American Woman To Be Elected To The House Of Representatives

Pramila Jayapal has been elected as the first Indian-American woman to the House of Representatives. 

She was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and moved to the US to continue her higher studies. Pramila always wanted to do something for the immigrants and she founded Hate Free Zone, which is now called “One America”

In 2012 she was awarded the “Champion of change” award and worked 20 years in the field of International Domestic Social Justice. Pramila hopes for a fair government who represents the public.
