Recently director Siruthai Siva announced that the shoot of his much-anticipated film, Annaatthe, will resume on December 15. Siruthai Siva, in a video message, wished the superstar and revealed that Rajini will join the sets soon. Annaatthe has been in the making since December, last year and the production had to be put on hold due to the on going pandemic.

In a recent Instagram post by Aishwarya, we got a glimpse of the star as he gets ready for shoot. The candid shoot reveals the much-awaited first look of the superstar in Annaatthe!
Rajinikanth revealed that about 40% of shoot remains for completion of the project. Rajinikanth will be seen playing a caring brother and Keerthy Suresh will be seen as his sister. The shoot is expected to completed in another 3 to 4 weeks.
Being directed by Siruthai Siva, Annaatthe marks the filmmaker’s maiden collaboration with Rajinikanth. The project also stars Keerthy Suresh, Meena and Khushbhu Sundar in key roles. D Imman, who had previously worked with Siva in Ajith's hit film Viswasam, has been roped in to compose music for the project.
