Thousands of people in Bangladesh are defying the nationwide lockdown to see a dwarf cow which its owners claim to be the world’s smallest. 

The images of a 51-centimetre-tall cow named Rani, has set off a tourist frenzy after local newspapers and television channels threw the spotlight on the tiny bovine.

Rani is a fully grown 23-month-old Bhutanese cow who has recently become a social media sensation, and is in the process of being verified as the world's shortest cow by the Guinness World Records.

Rani stands at a mere 51cm tall and weighs 26kg, which strongly suggests that, once her measurements are verified, she will break the current Guinness World Record holder record set by Manikyam, a 61cm Vechur cow in India. 

Rani's owner, Kazi Mohammad Abu Sufian, told the local news that Rani is as timid as she is adorable. The cute and adorable pics of the little cow have been heartwarming during these gloomy times.
