There's Some Malaysian Flavour in the Latest Release of This Popular Video Game

It's the first time we're seeing roti canai in a video game!

Final Fantasy is one of the most popular and successful video game franchises in the world. The game is known to be a forefront in video games development, boasting the most innovative works in graphic, plot, and music. It's original soundtrack is also popular with fans, composed by the 'Beethoven' of video games music -- Nobuo Uematsu.

When the latest game, Final Fantasy XV, is released, fans are again surprised to see realistic food in the video game. Malaysian fans, in particular, are excited because we saw roti canai and teh tarik in the game!

The restaurant also looked like a typical Malaysian mamak stall. Gamers have also found satay in the restaurant. We can safely say that Malaysia is finally represented in this popular video game, gastronomically!

This is thanks to the Lead Game Designer of the franchise, fellow Malaysian Wan Hazmer Wan Abd Halim. He tried his best to introduce Malaysian culture into the game, including the aforementioned food and architecture. One of the hotels apparently look like those in Taiping.

Whether or not you'll be playing game, it's still a great news to know that Malaysia is on the map.
