40 year-old Tan has stopped more than 10 people from ending their lives in the past decade. From 6am till midnight everyday, the man checks the bridge looking out for people who need help. He's able to identify people who have intentions to end their lives on the bridge, saying that they will usually look pale and teary-eyed.

When a person is spotted attempting to jump off the bridge, Tan will try to console them. He sometimes had to forcefully pull them back and restrain them until the police or ambulance arrive.

"Suicide never solves anything," Tan sad in an interview with The Star Online. He urges people to cherish their loved ones and not give up on life so easily.

Keep doing what you're doing, Tan, you're an inspiration to all!
