Recently a near genetically perfect sheep from Texel, UK was sold for a record price of 2 Million Ringgit at an auction last week.

The Texel lambs are best known for their lean meat and wool used for hosiery yarns, they do have a relatively high market value but one particular Texel lamb took the spot light for the most expensive purchase. Six-month-old Texel sheep “Double Diamond” is an outstanding lamb featuring the best genetics of sheep in the whole of the UK.

The near genetically perfect lamb rose quickly fetched a price of a whopping 2 million ringgit — every breeder across the UK was trying to get their hands on Double Diamond! Some breeders had even partnered up to bid an even higher price for Double Diamond.

Double Diamond is expected to be used for breading purposes upon reaching the right age.
