One of the most enjoyable times during our childhood was getting ready to go to our grandparent’s house. We always knew somehow we were going to get pampered by them with food and snacks, sweets and many more, things parents will normally be strict about and say no to us.

For all the love and care they have shown us, many grandchildren have decided to show some love back recently. Many of them started posting their sweetest and coolest memories and stories they have of their grandparents as well any achievements they had.
Tell me about a super-cool thing one of your ancestors/older family members did.

The tweet that got the ball rolling was started by a twitter user, who asked his followers and friends in a tweet to share a “super-cool thing” about their ancestors. That is when so many unbelievable and amazing stories came to light from twitters users replying to the post.
My grandmom was a farm labourer... She had nine kids... Midwife to the village, she delivered all her babies, herself and had no patience with what she called "fussing with doctors like preganancy is some disease." pic.twitter.com/TC5ubb2opw

One such accomplishment is @powerofyogesh grandmother who was a farm labourer and took care of nine kids by herself. The shocking part was that she delivered all the babies herself without the assistance of a midwife or a doctor!
On her way to pick up my brother from school, my mom ran into a burning home and rescued an elderly couple from the roof collapsing over their heads. She did this while pregnant, with her other 3 kids waiting for her in the car. Her name is Emily Ficklin Crofts. https://t.co/PJLRMd2jPG

Some of their grandparents were even heroes such as @elizacrofts mother who ran into a burning home to rescue a couple who was at risk of being buried alive in the burning building. She did all that while being pregnant!
My great grandma was the first female cab driver in Munich, on her driving test certificate, someone had to manually blot out the masculine grammatical endings and insert female ones because so few women were driving at the time, never mind driving taxis 🏋️♀️🚖 pic.twitter.com/xX5I4m3sjs

Other grandparents had great and inspiring personal accomplishments such as @LowRisingTone’s great grandmother who was the first female cab driver in Munich.
The only Indian who held the highest 3 posts: Chief Justice Of India, Vice President and President of India!! My Great Granduncle late Mohammed Hidayatullah.

And not forgetting, @gala_khan’s great granduncle who was the only Indian that held highest posts being the Chief Justice of India, Vice President and President of India.
In the end, no matter how small or big their accomplishments, nothing comes like our grandparents and they all deserve a shout-out for the love and inspiration they give to us and our parents. For those who are still well and healthy on earth, treasure them and for those grandparents who have passed on, we honor them so show them the appreciation in a tweet or a post.
