In recent developments, Malaysia’s Swag Tamilachi, Yunohoo, who was previously known as Rubba Bend of Psychounit has landed a part in the musical bit of worldwide anticipated thriller, Nerkonda Paarvai. Yunohoo is now an independent artiste!
RAAGA got an EXLUSIVE interview with her recently, specially for you, our readers.
RAAGA: How did you get involved with Nerkonda Paarvai?
Yunohoo: After being away from the scene for a long time, I was looking to rebrand and make a comeback. It was during that period that I got in touch with Dr. Burn again and he hooked me up with the NKP team.
RAAGA: Whom did you work with on the song?
Yunohoo: I wrote the lyrics for the most part. Music was done by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The genre of this song is based on EDM, so it is quite a new approach for us both as artistes.

RAAGA: When and where did the recording take place?
Yunohoo: Late last year, I recorded the song at a studio in KL as I was unable to fly to India at that point in time. It was again Dr. Burn who helped me out with the entire process, so shout out to him!
RAAGA: Is this the first tamil track you are working on since making a comeback?
Yunohoo: YES! This will be my first Tamil track following my comeback. Prior to this, I worked on an English track with KTownClan's Ganesh Big Bo,Vidya and Roshan Jamrock titled Monkey Business.
RAAGA: How do you feel about this project?
Yunohoo: If I am honest, it was a nerve-wrecking experience. As this is the first project I got involved in since making a comeback as an independent artiste, there were a lot of gears that I had to get up and running again. I learnt a lot during my time with my previous label, PU4LYF, so all that knowledge definitely came in handy. Through this project, I learnt that as an artiste I am a lot more composed and definitely curious to find out how my journey with music is going to play out. Beginning this journey with a YSR number is exhilarating to say the very least.
RAAGA: Did you face any challenges/ difficulties with this project?
Yunohoo: Not really. But I must say, I learnt a lot. This journey is all about learning and improving. YSR was very gracious, professional and was open to my suggestions. It was a pretty smooth process.
RAAGA: Did you expect to land this deal?
Yunohoo: Definitely not! But I have to say, the best and worst things in life always takes us by surprise. This blessing was such a surprise!

RAAGA: What other future songs do you have brewing in your cauldron?
Yunohoo: I have been working with Dr. Burn on an upcoming track titled THHA. I also have a debut single coming up and a couple other tracks in the making. Do follow me on social media so that you don’t miss out on the announcements!
