When it comes to Malaysian film, Vikadakavi production is no stranger to delivering projects that push creativity boundaries and entertain us. And now they’re back with yet another exciting tele-movie; “Nethraa”!

Set in the horror genre, Nethraa tells the story of Vanessa as a university student who loses her eyesight after an accident, and regains it with a pair of eyes from a deceased donor. She experiences strange and disturbing visions after receiving the eye transplant. After having a vision of herself, she and her boyfriend decide to investigate further…and the horror behind the story begins to unravel.

Vanessa takes on the role of director for the first time, also playing the lead actress in Nethraa, she has managed to balance her roles well and set and example in the male-dominated industry. The film producer Magen Vikadakavi has expressed that he is proud to introduce new talents and to support talented females, he believes that this would encourage more film makers to take risks in being creative.  

The film has set high expectations for horror film lovers, and in an interesting side-note, the filmmakers expressed that they have included a strong message on abuse against women.
